What is the Kaikamahine Kula* Gathering?

The Kaikamahine Kula Gathering is an in-person event on the island of Maui for folks who want to connect face-to-face with a group of geographically diverse, like-minded individuals to give and receive support, organize and plan, and relax our minds, bodies, and spirits as we prepare for the realities of 2025 and beyond. 

The Kaikamahine Kula Gathering is a 5-day event, limited to no more than twenty participants and centers on three core principles:

  • resistance

    The coming together with folks who live outside of your local community to organize, plan, and build a human network in a safe space

  • reciprocity

    The GIVING of your talents, gifts, and passions, while RECEIVING dedicated support for whatever challenges you're facing in life as we enter into the new reality of 2025

  • rejuvenation

    All of this will take place in a relaxing environment, near the beach, in the lovely, temperate weather of South Maui. There will be an emphasis on preparing our minds, bodies, and spirits before returning to our respective communities to implement our action steps

* Kaikamahine Kula loosely translated means "The Golden Girls." Who says activism and eating cheesecake on the lanai have to be mutually exclusive activities?

The Kaikamahine Kula Gathering is rooted in community

Since the November election, it's been a recalibration for many folks facing the looming possibilities laid out in Project 2025. There's no doubt we live in a world where collective organizing and networking are vital for protecting ourselves, our families, and our communities. 

But we also live in an exhausting world where we leave digital footprints. 

To both take care of ourselves AND gather together in person is of utmost importance in the days to come. Leaning into the opportunity to do so with people outside of our immediate geographic spheres of influence, empowers us to fortify our human bodies and our human bonds in a safe space, where the only footprints we'll leave will be on the sandy beaches of South Maui.

Registration access is invite-only.

These invitations are curated through an application process to ensure the event is filled with knowledgeable, passionate individuals who want to work towards collective and individual goals, side-by-side with like-minded, pro-democracy, pro-woke, pro-human humans
